Hvarf Heim by Sigur Ros
Released: Nov 06 2007
The Hvarf/Heim release is comprised of two EP's. The title of the first, Hvarf, translates appropriately as "disappeared" as its five tracks are new studio recordings of lost songs from various points in Sigur Ros' history.
An alternative translation of Hvarf is "Haven" which ties into the title of the second disc of this release, Heim, or "Home".
"As epic as ever... entrancing"--WIRED
"The reworkings are subtle... beautiful and are slightly warmer and even more fragile than the originals"--BILLBOARD
"interesting collection from a band that paradoxically carries both frost and heat within its heart."--DALLAS MORNING NEWS
"The only question that remains regarding the seemingly relentless stream of material is whether or not fans will be able to digest it all. However, if it's all as enjoyable as/ Hvarf-Heim/, there shouldn't be any problems"--ASSOCIATED CONTENT
"musically these songs still flow with ease and logic. Any fan of the band should be more than pleased with the collection"--ABSOLUTEPUNK.net
